RP Underwriting (an affiliate of RiskPoint A/S) Announces North American M&A Insurance Team

After officially entering the North American insurance market in January 2021 with the appointment of Michael McGowan as Managing Director and Head of M&A – Americas, RP Underwriting (an affiliate of RiskPoint A/S) is pleased to announce the hiring of three new team members in anticipation of its imminent M&A insurance platform launch in the United States.

• Nick Horsmon joins RP Underwriting from Liberty Mutual, where he was Head of Claims for the Americas region of its Global Transaction Solutions business unit and helped build their M&A claims platform from the ground up. Nick will leverage his background as a claims executive to assist RP Underwriting in building a best-in-class underwriting operation that utilizes global claims data and expertise to promote sustainable business outcomes for our clients and capacity partners. Prior to joining Liberty, Nick practiced as a litigation and regulatory associate at Mound Cotton Wollan & Greengrass LLP, where he represented insurers and reinsurers on a wide array of domestic and international coverage matters. Nick earned an MBA from the University of Oxford, a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, and an undergraduate degree from Rollins College. Nick joins as a Vice President and Senior Underwriter.
• Vince Bruno joins RP Underwriting from Ambridge Partners, where he served as an underwriting executive and counsel in Ambridge’s U.S. transactional risk practice. There, Vince acted as Underwriting Manager for the East region and led a team of transactional risk attorneys and analysts in underwriting and structuring M&A insurance products for complex strategic and private equity transactions. Through his market-leading underwriting experience, Vince will support RP Underwriting in developing lasting relationships with brokers, transaction advisors, and dealmakers as we scale our operations throughout North America. Prior to joining Ambridge, Vince practiced as a Corporate/M&A associate at Cole Schotz P.C. Vince holds a J.D. from Rutgers Law School and an undergraduate degree from Rutgers Business School. Vince joins as a Vice President and Senior Underwriter.
• Mitch Lisogorsky joins RP Underwriting from the law firm Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors, where he spent three years as a Legal Investigator supporting senior attorneys on a variety of high-profile matters and litigations. Mitch received his undergraduate degree in International Politics from Penn State University. Joining as an M&A Analyst, Mitch will provide critical deal support to our team and promote the growth of our business through specialized attention to operations, underwriting execution, and client development.

With a combination of underwriting, claims, and analytical skillsets, these additions solidify RP Underwriting’s capabilities as we enter the U.S. transactional risk market with a sharp focus on sophisticated underwriting, elite client service, and long-term strategic positioning. The RiskPoint Group’s global M&A presence now features thirty dedicated individuals across nine countries, including the United States.
